SAN DIEGO, CA (May 18, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a woman died in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 5 and Garnet Avenue.
 
The incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. on Interstate 5, south of Garnet Avenue.
 
According to reports, a woman pushing her bike walked along the shoulder of the freeway. Then, she tried to cross the freeway.
 
Eventually, a white Honda Accord driver struck the woman. As a result, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene. At this time, her identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Also, the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t clarified whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
