1 Hurt in Long Beach Train Accident on Long Beach Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (September 14, 2020) – Sunday morning, a woman suffered serious injuries in a train crash on Long Beach Boulevard.
According to reports, a Metro Blue Line train hit a woman who stepped onto a track on Long Beach Boulevard and 10th Street.
L.A. Metro spokesperson Dave Sotero added that the train was heading north. As a result, the woman sustained “multiple traumatic injuries.”
The Long Beach Fire Department transported her to a hospital “in serious condition,” LBFD spokesperson Brian Fisk revealed.
Meanwhile, the incident briefly affected the normal train service about 10:05 a.m. However, the service resumed at 11:30 a.m. Due to the delay, Metro provided a temporary shuttle to transport commuters from the Anaheim Station to Downtown.
As pedestrians, it is crucial to stay vigilant on the streets. Furthermore, it is important to follow traffic laws just the same to avoid accidents that can lead to injuries.
