The incident occurred at about 3:55 p.m. on Pomerado Road and Stone Canyon Road, San Diego police Officer John Buttle revealed.
According to Buttle, a 42-year-old woman drove a Toyota Prius west on Stone Canyon Road. However, as she turned left onto Pomerado Road, she hit a 42-year-old woman walking across Pomerado Road in the crosswalk.
Responders took the victim to a hospital for treatment of fractures to her left arm, pelvis, tibia, and fibula as well as scrapes to her face. However, her injuries are non-life-threatening.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene. After that, authorities ruled out intoxication as a factor in the collision.
The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions. If you are a pedestrian, bicyclist or driver, pay close attention to the those around you. In addition, always keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.
