Woman Injured After Hit by Truck in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (June 18, 2019) – A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Fresno Street early Monday morning.
 
The Fresno police said the crash happened in the southbound lanes of Fresno Street between Sierra Avenue and Palo Alto Avenue. A pickup truck hit and injured the woman at around 3:00 a.m.
 
Reports indicated that the truck hit the woman when she stepped off a median. She allegedly walked in front of the vehicle.
 
Medics rushed the woman to a Fresno area hospital. She was under surgery for internal injuries but expected to survive.
 
Meanwhile, the driver reported the crash right away and pulled over to help. The police shut down the scene of the crash for about two hours during their investigation.
