Female Driver Hurt after Collision with Ambulance on Boren Avenue
SEATTLE, WA (June 21, 2019) – A female was injured Saturday evening following a broadside crash involving an ambulance on Boren Avenue. However, her identity and place of residency has not yet been released.
According to news reports, the T-bone collision occurred on Boren Avenue around 6:00 p.m. Dispatchers arrived to the area near James Street shortly after.
To begin, investigators say the ambulance vehicle broadsided a nearby car for unknown reasons. Reports also indicate that the ambulance was transporting an injured patient to a local hospital at the time.
Rescue crews later determined that the car’s door was jammed as a result of the impact. This consequently made it difficult for medics to free her from the wrecked vehicle.
Moreover, the unidentified female suffered serious injuries before receiving further treatment. Meanwhile, emergency crews contacted another ambulance to transport the initial patient to a local hospital.
Furthermore, the surrounding area was also closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
