MARTINEZ, CA (June 10, 2019) – A 55-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a suspected hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Alhambra Avenue Thursday night.
 
According to reports, the accident happened around 11:43 p.m. Dispatchers arrived to the area near Berrellesa Street shortly after.
 
Officers found the 55-year-old female victim down in the roadway upon arrival. Semi-conscious at the time, she was taken by paramedics to a nearby trauma center for further treatment.
 
Meanwhile, authorities also determined that a vehicle may have struck her while she was crossing. Officers combed the area, however they did not locate any witnesses or suspects at the time.
 
Furthermore, investigators are now sifting through surveillance footage for any possible leads. No more details have been given to the public at this time.
