Scan the streets, so you can be more aware of what’s transpiring before you. Many defensive driving practices involve preparation. By preparing to yield or stop at a traffic light or a pedestrian crosswalk, we’ll have a higher chance of avoiding trouble. Pedestrians should also cross only when the streets are clear and make eye contact with drivers.
