Car Hits and Injuries Woman in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Garnet Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 16, 2019) – A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Garnet Avenue near Gresham Street Saturday.
The incident took place around 11:00 p.m. in the 1400 block of Garnet Avenue. According to reports, a 30-year-old male operating an eastbound 2009 Land Rover struck the 23-year-old pedestrian. In addition, the female pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk to walk southbound across Garnet Avenue. However, the driver had no time to avoid hitting her.
As a result of the crash, the pedestrian sustained a fractured leg and is now recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Per officials, impairment has been ruled out as a possible factor, but the San Diego Traffic Division is investigating this case further.
