51-Year-Old Port Orchard Woman Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 106 [Mason County, WA]

WSP Arrests 46-Year-Old Belfair Man in Suspected DUI Collision on SR106

Mason County, WA (May 30, 2024) On Tuesday evening, a 51-year-old Port Orchard woman was injured after a horrific 2-vehicle crash on State Route 106.

According to a Washington State Patrol (WSP), the suspected DUI collision happened at about 7 p.m. at milepost 19 on SR106, near Sunset Beach.

Reports say that an eastbound truck, driven by a 46-year-old Belfair man, veered into oncoming traffic and struck the Orchard woman’s truck.

Officials say that the male driver’s truck ended up on the right shoulder of the westbound lane, while the woman’s truck rested in the westbound lane. Both vehicles were wrecked due to the crash.

Authorities say that the Orchard woman suffered injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Troopers arrested the Belfair man on suspicion of driving under the influence.
