Woman Hurt in Hit-and-Run Collision on Highway 99 [Fowler, CA]

Fowler, CA (March 11, 2022) On Friday, a hit-and-run collision on Highway 99 caused injury to a woman.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the traffic accident happened around 3 a.m. just north of Merced Avenue.

Reports say that a car attempting to enter the highway collided with another vehicle in the slow lane.

Moreover, a big rig tried to avoid the crash and struck the K-rail water barrels in the center median.

Rescuers found a woman with moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital.

Officials say that the other motorist fled the scene.

According to the CHP, this happened in a narrow area of the highway, that is under construction.
