Woman Hospitalized in 3-Car Collision on Yelm Highway [Olympia, WA]

Olympia, WA (August 06, 2021) – On Wednesday, a woman suffered injuries in a 3-vehicle collision on Yelm Highway.

East Olympia Firefighters say there were multiple northbound vehicles on the highway when the car in ahead suddenly rolled over.

Moreover, the car next to the turning vehicle was not able to do anything and hit the turning vehicle.

Afterwards, another vehicle coming from behind rear-ended the second vehicle.

The authorities say that this happened due to the first car tried to make a sudden turn towards 80th Avenue.

Responding officers said 2 motorist were already outside their cars when they arrived.

However, the 3rd motorist was trapped. The victim expressed discomfort and pain.

Rescuers took the female motorist to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

Consequently, traffic crews closed the Rich lane’s north lanes or around 45 minutes due to the crash.
