Deadly Pedestrian Accident Reported in Huntington Park on Pacific Avenue and Belgrave Avenue
HUNTINGTON PARK, CA (November 11, 2019) — A woman died as a result of a pedestrian accident along Pacific Avenue and Belgrave Avenue Friday night.
According to Huntington Park Police Lt. Al Martinez, the incident happened around 10:00 p.m. near Michael’s Furniture.
Authorities are investigating as to what drove the collision that claimed the woman’s life.
When officers responded to the scene, they found a woman in her twenties with grave injuries. Paramedics took her to a hospital where she died shortly after.
The Huntington Park Police Department believes the victim exited her vehicle prior to the accident. Police stated witnesses saw two vehicles at the scene prior to the impact. However, only one stayed on site following the collision.
Police do not know which driver struck the victim or if she used a crosswalk. In addition, if impairment played a role. However, they confirmed that the victim – who remains unidentified – knew both occupants.
