Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Driver in Oxnard

 
OXNARD, CA (March 8, 2019) – A 39-year-old woman died Wednesday night in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near North Oxnard Boulevard.
 
According to California Highway Patrol officers, the incident happened at 8:47 p.m. when a white Toyota sedan struck the woman in the right lane on the northbound side of the bridge. Following the accident, the driver pulled over and waited for authorities.
 
Emergency medical crews arrived at the scene and declared the victim dead. Authorities are investigating the ultimate cause of this crash and urging witnesses to come forward with information.
