Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Hit by Car in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 7, 2019) – A Tuesday morning pedestrian crash at Golden Gate Avenue and Leavenworth Street left a woman with life-threatening injuries.
The incident took place around 10:30 a.m. A driver turning northbound onto Leavenworth Street from Golden Gate Avenue struck the 58-year-old woman as she crossed westbound on Leavenworth Street.
Paramedics immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 36-year-old driver stayed on site and cooperated with police investigations.
Officers do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision; however, a follow-up investigation continues.
