Pedestrian Injured in DUI Crash in Shelton
SHELTON, WA (May 3, 2019) – An alleged DUI driver struck a female pedestrian Wednesday evening at East Railroad Avenue and North 1st Street.
Charges are pending against the alleged DUI driver, say reports.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver struck the woman around 5:30 p.m.
It appears the pickup truck attempted a left turn onto East Railroad Avenue after traveling north on North 1st Street. The pickup then struck the woman in the crosswalk.
Shortly after, paramedics airlifted the injured woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with unknown injuries.
There were no details concerning the driver’s condition. However, troopers did confirm that impairment played a factor in the accident.
