Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Driver in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (May 3, 2019) – A woman lost her life Thursday night following a pedestrian crash on Phelan Road near Baldy Mesa Road.
 
According to reports, the incident happened around 9 p.m., just half a mile west of Baldy Mesa Road.
 
Upon arriving, First Responders located a female pedestrian in the roadway with major injuries.
 
Next to the victim, a blue 2016 Toyota Scion iM stood with damage to the driver side.
 
Per Victor Valley News Group member Colin Opseth, paramedics subsequently performed CPR on the woman. Yet despite these attempts, the woman succumbed to her injuries.
 
At this time, it’s unclear how the incident happened, but authorities are investigating this case further. California Highway Patrol urges anyone to call 760-241-1186 if they have any information to provide authorities.
