Woman Fatally Hit by Train at Race Street and Parkmoor Avenue [San Jose, CA]

SAN JOSE, CA (December 3, 2019) – A woman died Monday evening after being struck by a light-rail train at Race Street and Parkmoor Avenue.
 
According to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, the crash took place around 6:10 p.m. The unidentified victim suffered severe injuries and was transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital.
 
However, in spite of life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to her injuries. Her identity is unknown at this time.
 
Per Sgt. Michael Low, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this fatal crash since the circumstances are unknown.
