Man and Woman Ejected From Vehicle Following Fatal Crash on Highway 99 and Highway 41
Fresno, CA (September 5, 2020) – A rollover crash on Highway 99 and Highway 41 killed a woman and left a man hospitalized on Friday.
California Highway Patrol responded to the scene on September 4 on Highway 99 and Highway 41.
CHP Sgt. Del Carro said in a report that a Chevy Envoy was traveling southbound on Highway 99. The vehicle was seen speeding and weaving in and out of traffic as it enters the transition road to Highway 41.
The driver, a woman, twitched the Envoy to the left over the dirt embankment. As a result, the vehicle came down to Highway 41, Del Carro said.
The Envoy continued to roll over then it struck a Toyota Prius.
Due to the impact of the collision, the woman died at the scene. The male occupant of the Envoy suffered major injuries. Medics transported him to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota Prius did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
Furthermore, the crash prompted the closure of southbound 99 however, it reopened for the traffic by 5:30 p.m.
