1 Dead in Raymond Car Accident
RAYMOND, WA (January 21, 2019) – A woman died in a crash involving an SUV and a tractor-trailer rig on January 18 on Highway 101 in Pacific County.
State trooper Chelsea Hodgson revealed that the troopers and medics came to respond to the scene, about four miles north of Raymond, at about 11:00 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash.
The SUV driver, a 64-year-old Aberdeen female resident, died at the scene. The driver of the semi was reportedly unharmed. The two drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles.
It was determined in a preliminary investigation that the semi rig was traveling south and the SUV was driving north when they crashed.
The cleanup and investigation led to the shutdown of Highway 101. An alternate route was administered at Smith Creek and Butte Creek roads.
