Deadly Multi-Car Accident in Norwalk
NORWALK, CA (February 6, 2020) — A woman died Wednesday following a multi-vehicle crash on the 605 Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident befell around 3:45 a.m.
Deputies learned that the woman’s car traveled from the slow lane to all lanes of traffic before striking the center divider. The vehicle subsequently overturned and ended up facing the wrong way in the left lane of the freeway, where the impact partially ejected her from the sedan.
The woman died as a result, and the drivers of two other vehicles involved suffered unknown injuries.
In the wake of the crash, officials closed all southbound lanes due to investigations before reopening them around 6 a.m.
