Prius vs Frito Lay Truck Crash on Highway 198 Killed One Woman
Hanford, CA (September 20, 2020) – On Saturday, a woman in her 80’s died, while the man who is also in his 80’s got severely injured in a vehicle crash on Highway 198.
Authorities said traffic was building due to three vehicles involved in a non-injury rear-end accident on Highway 198 near Hanford Armona Road.
A Prius that was not involved in the three vehicles crash was rear-ended by a Frito Lay truck moving about 60 mph.
As a result, the Prius rolled down an embankment.
Authorities rushed the driver of the Prius to a local hospital in critical condition. However, the woman in the passenger seat was declared dead at the scene.
On the other hand, the driver of the Frito Lay truck was not injured.
Authorities investigates the crash.
