Woman Dies in Devastating Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Nelson Avenue in Oroville

Oroville, CA (April 4, 2023) – Saturday night, a woman died in a crash on Nelson Avenue and 2nd streets. 

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash on Nelson Avenue in Oroville happened on April 1.

Oroville Police said the woman in her 60s was crossing the eastbound lane of Nelson and 2nd streets. Police said she was hit by the driver of a 2006 Saturn, who could not stop in time.

EMS rushed her to the hospital, where she later died. 

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
