Driver Dead, Another Injured Following Two-Car Collision in Wasco
WASCO, CA (February 19, 2019) – One man was killed and another suffered major injuries when their pickup trucks collided at Highway 43 and Garces Highway Tuesday morning.
Around 6:00 a.m., authorities began receiving calls about a serious collision in the area. CHP says one of the men was driving a northbound white pickup truck on Highway 43. The other driver was traveling in a red westbound pickup truck on Garces Highway. According to California Highway Patrol, investigators believe one of them may have run the two-way stop sign, failing to yield to oncoming traffic at the intersection.
The injured victim was brought to Kern Medical Center with major injuries. A follow-up investigation of this fatal crash is underway.
