Vladimar Victoria Arrested After Crashing Car With Child Inside in Newhall Near 5 Freeway
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 6, 2019) – Police arrested an 18-year-old man involved in Tuesday’s DUI hit-and-run collision in Newhall near the 5 Freeway.
Around 8 p.m., deputies arrested Vladimar Victoria, of Valencia, on multiple charges. His charges include DUI and child endangerment after he struck four to five vehicles with a minor passenger in his car.
According to Lt. Jim Royal, at one point, the suspect’s car was driving on the rim of a tire causing sparks on the streets.
Authorities determined that Victoria had been under the influence of marijuana. Shortly after, police brought him into custody with a bail set at $110,000.
Reports did not specify whether the child sustained any injuries, but a follow-up investigation is underway.
