Major Injury Collision Reported in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (January 21, 2019) – Two children were among the five people injured Thursday afternoon in a two-car accident on Amargosa Road near Luna Road.
Around 4:02 p.m., a white Nissan was heading northbound on Amargosa Road when for unknown reasons the driver lost control and veered into the westbound traffic lanes. There, the Nissan struck a blue Acura sedan.
David Kintzer II was the Good Samaritan who was able to assist the victims, including a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old from the white sedan. Both children were reportedly restrained in the backseat, but the 2-year-old was closest to the point of impact.
The 2-year-old child was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and the 5-year-old and two adults in the white Nissan were taken to a trauma center by a ground ambulance. The driver of the Acura sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
