SACRAMENTO, CA (November 28, 2022) – Sunday morning, a pickup truck crash on Howe Avenue involved Victor Handy and Mary Handy.
 
The incident happened when Victor Handy drove a Dodge Ram pickup with his wife, Mary Handy. Then, their vehicle crashed through the front door of Mel’s Diner on Howe Avenue.
 
As a result, four people suffered mostly minor injuries. Then, paramedics took two patients to the hospital.
 
“Once I start the car, it went boom. It jumped…it wouldn’t stop. It wouldn’t stop,” Victor Handy said.
 
Then, the truck hopped over a cement curb with shrubbery before crashing into Mel’s Diner.
 
Meanwhile, reports revealed that the crash happened as a family was paying for their meal.
 
At this time, the authorities do not believe that alcohol played a role in the crash. Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
