Victor Can Fatally Struck by Driver near East Baseline Street and Golondrina Drive
HIGHLAND, CA (January 10, 2020)— A pedestrian died Sunday evening following a crash near East Baseline Street and Golondrina Drive.
The incident unfolded around 5:45 p.m., near the intersection. According to reports, first responders arrived and located the 62-year-old Highland victim on the roadway.
Paramedics immediately rendered life-saving measures and transported him to a nearby hospital; however, despite further efforts to save him, Victor Manuel Matos Can passed away shortly after.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. However, it is unclear at this point what drove the crash or where the fault lies.
