Vicente Mancera Fatally Struck by Train on G Street Near East Santa Fe Avenue

 
MERCED, CA (May 6, 2019) – A 13-year-old boy died Thursday afternoon after a train struck him on G Street near East Santa Fe Avenue.
 
The deadly incident occurred around 4 p.m. Officers responded to the scene to find the male juvenile dead near the railroad tracks.
 
Per reports, Jason Guerrero reported the collision after one of the victim’s friends came seeking help.
 
Vicente Mancera died as a result of the accident and now counselors at Merced City School District plan to have train safety training throughout the school year.
 
At this time, authorities are piecing together the details of this crash to determine how the incident unfolded.
