Ford Driver Sustains Injury in Oxnard Fatal Collision
Oxnard, CA (June 25, 2022) – On Friday, a 61-year-old Ventura woman sustained fatal injuries in a rear-end crash on Highway 101.
The authorities received the crash report at around 1:47 p.m. north of Oxnard Boulevard. Reports say the incident involved two pickup trucks and a sedan.
Apparently, the vehicles were traveling in the left lane of the freeway.
The Ventura woman was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup behind a 2011 Ford-F250 pickup driven by a 53-year-old Ventura man. Then, there was a BMW 750I driven by a 75-year-old Camarillo man in front of the Ford.
When the traffic slowed, the woman’s Chevy couldn’t stop and rear-ended the Ford. Unfortunately, the woman lost her life in the accident. Officers withheld her name pending notification of relatives.
Moreover, the Ford driver sustained minor injuries and complained of pain. The BMW driver, on the other hand, was not injured.
In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the cause of the Oxnard fatal collision.
Officers say they do not consider alcohol or drugs as factors in the collision.
