Sparks Woman Killed in Deadly Crash on US 50
Twin Bridges, CA (July 24, 2021) – On Thursday, a woman from Sparks, NV, died, while others were injured in US 50 crash.
The fatal crash happened east of Tamarack Pines Road.
Apparently, a 2006 Saturn was aggressively driving westbound at high rates of speed.
Then, it lost control and crossed into the opposite eastbound lane, directly into the path of an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet.
Unfortunately, the Saturn was torn in two pieces.
Its driver was thrown and slammed into a 2013 Toyota that was following the Chevrolet.
Officers said a Sparks woman lost her life on the scene.
Meanwhile, rescuers took the Chevrolet’s occupants to the hospital.
Similarly, the Toyota driver was taken from the scene by family.
The Chevrolet caught flames briefly which was put out by concerned citizens who stopped to help.
Moreover, investigating officers said alcohol does not seem to be a factor in this fatal incident.
