Robbi Megazzi Loses Unborn Child in DUI Crash on Hammonton Smaftville Road
Linda, CA (February 24, 2021) – On Tuesday, 31-year-old Robbi Megazzi lost her unborn child in a DUI crash on Hammonton Smaftville Road.
The fatal Linda crash happened before 5 a.m. in Yuba County.
44-year-old Anthony Smith crossed into oncoming traffic and struck Megazzi’s vehicle head-on near Happy Way.
Immediately, responders took the pregnant Megazzi to a hospital. It is there medical personnel learned Ms. Megazzi was pregnant, and the child was lost as a result of the accident.
Similarly, rescuers took Smith to a hospital for a leg injury.
Both of their vehicles incurred serious damage in the accident.
Meanwhile, officers are still investigating the incident, though they believe drugs were a factor in the crash.
