Ulises Ramirez Rodriguez Dies, Driver and Passenger Injured in Crash on Comanche Drive
Arvin, CA (April 17, 2021) – On Thursday, Ulises Ramirez Rodriguez, 19, died, while a driver and a passenger sustained injuries in a crash on Comanche Drive.
The fatal Arvin motorcycle crash took place at around 1:44 p.m., north of Sunset Boulevard.
Apparently, a 2004 Chevy Suburban towing a utility trailer and a 2010 Kawasaki EX250J motorcycle collided.
Officers said the Suburban was stopped on the right shoulder, while the motorcycle was traveling behind it.
The Suburban made a U-turn directly into the path of the motorcycle and collided with it.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered major injuries. Responders took him to Kern Medical for treatment, where he later died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, the Suburban driver sustained moderate injuries, while two passengers incurred minor injuries. Rescuers took the driver and one of the passengers to Kern Medical for treatment.
