30-Year-Old Lance Adams Arrested on West Hawthorne Street Crash
Eureka, CA (February 18, 2021) – On Wednesday, a driver was injured and police arrested 30-year-old Lance Adams of Eureka in a DUI crash on West Hawthorne Street.
The incident took place at about 12:04 p.m. at the intersection with Albee Street.
Adams was driving a stolen vehicle and crashed with the victim’s vehicle in the intersection. Subsequently, the stolen vehicle crashed into a nearby residence.
Immediately, Humboldt Bay Fire and City Ambulance responded to the scene.
Both drivers suffered moderate injuries. Right away, rescuers rushed Adams and the victim to the hospital. Also, a dog was inside the victim’s vehicle and appeared uninjured.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested Adams for hit and run causing injury, DUI, possession of a stolen vehicle, and resisting arrest.
Once Adams is medically cleared, officers will book him into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
It is a crime to drive stolen vehicles. Same as driving under the influence.
How To Proceed From a DUI Crash
Moreover, while driving is essential for many to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous daily activities. Thus, it is therefore important to know how to proceed in case you are involved in an accident.
Indeed, on the AAA Foundation website, chief executive officer Peter Kissinger repeatedly labeled the epidemic of motor vehicle-related accidents a “public health crisis.”
Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer. A lawyer will make sure victims are not cheated of the proper compensation they are owed.
