Couple Injured, DUI Driver Arrested in Crash on Fifer Avenue
Marin, CA (February 28, 2021) – On Saturday, two were injured and police arrested a DUI driver in a crash on Fifer Avenue.
The crash took place at about 10:50 a.m. near Lucky Drive.
A BMW with a couple inside was rear-ended by a Chevy Camaro. However, the Chevy driver immediately drove away after the crash.
A witness provided 911 with the suspect’s description. Minutes later, authorities located him on Lucky Drive near the Town of Corte Madera Corporation Yard.
During the arrest, the suspect tried to run from the officers and a violent struggle occurred before he was taken into custody.
As a result, two officers sustained minor injuries.
Furthermore, rescuers treated the couple in the BMW at the scene.
Finally, the officers arrested the unidentified suspect for Felony DUI causing injury, battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.
They booked him at Marin County Jail.
