Tuuika Salt Arrested, Tapaita Stovall Killed in DUI Crash on Santa Inez Avenue [San Mateo, CA]

SAN MATEO, CA (September 29, 2021) – Sunday night, authorities arrested Tuuika Salt following a deadly DUI crash on Santa Inez Avenue.

The incident involving three vehicles occurred at about 5:02 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the area of E. Santa Inez Avenue and N. Humboldt Street.

Afterward, authorities detained 24-year-old Tuuika Salt from San Mateo. His blood alcohol content went over two and a half times the legal limit.

On the other hand, responders took a passenger in Salt’s car to a trauma center for treatment. However, the passenger succumbed to their injuries on Monday. Authorities identified the decedent as 40-year-old Tapaita Stovall.

At this time, Tuuika Salt has gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence causing great bodily injury charges.
