Truck Driver Injured in Rollover Crash on 215 at Harley Knox Boulevard [PERRIS, CA]

Cement Mixer Overturns on 215 Freeway in Perris Injuring the Driver

 
PERRIS, CA (May 24, 2019) – A truck driver was injured following a rollover crash Friday morning around 6:41 a.m. on southbound 215 Freeway, just North of Harley Knox Boulevard exit.
 
Arriving officers located a cement mixer truck that had overturned on its side and was blocking the freeway’s second and third lanes of traffic.
 
Paramedics extricated the trapped driver and took him to a hospital with moderate injuries.
 
A SigAlert was issued in the area, blocking the freeway for several hours, until the overturned mixer was righted back onto its wheels towed from the scene.
 
The road blockage created a traffic nightmare for morning commuters and other motorists who reportedly spent up to an hour or more stuck in heavy traffic.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and no further details have been released.
