Troy Hack of Edinburg Killed in W Cano Street Pedestrian Accident [Edinburg, TX]

10th Avenue Collision Kills 55-Year-Old Man

Edinburg, TX (July 11, 2023) – At about 8:36 a.m. on Monday, 55-year-old Troy Hack of Edinburg sustained fatal injuries following a W Cano Street pedestrian accident.

Investigating officers stated that the driver of a tractor-trailer truck was southbound while Hack was crossing the street.

Unfortunately, Hack was struck by the large vehicle.

The truck driver rendered aid and there are no indications that alcohol played a role in the W Cano Street pedestrian accident.

Hack was rushed to an area hospital where he was declared deceased from his injuries an hour later.

“At this time, it remains unclear whether the pedestrian was within a designated crosswalk,” says the Edinburg PD

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the collision and they urged the public to remain vigilant when crossing roadways.

Sweet Lawyers would like to express our sincere condolences to the loved ones of Troy Hack. May you find strength during this difficult time.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident

When someone dies or is killed due to another person’s negligence or misconduct, the bereaved can sue the negligent parties for the damages that they caused.

Some of the instances that could result in a wrongful death are homicide, medical malpractice, transportation accidents, pedestrian accidents just like what happened in the Cano Street pedestrian accident, and any other instance caused by the wrongdoing of another person.

How Can a Wrongful Death Claim Help?

We strongly recommend that the bereaved file a wrongful death claim. However, in filing for a wrongful death case, there is a time limit on when family members can take legal action.

These restrictions are called the statute of limitations. It only allows the bereaved to file a wrongful death lawsuit within a certain amount of time. Unfortunately, when these expire, the legal claim is no longer valid and the family of the deceased can no longer file a lawsuit.

Thus, it is important to know and understand these time limitations, as they vary from state to state and case to case.

With this in mind, we recommend for you reach us at Sweet Lawyers to know more about how a wrongful death case could help you and your family. Our number is (800) 674 7852.
