RUNNING SPRINGS, CA (January 17, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a traffic crash on Highway 18 left one person with injuries.
 
According to reports, the fiery incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Highway 18.
 
When the authorities arrived, they found one person trapped in the wreckage. They also found two vehicles with major damage and had caught fire.
 
Thus, firefighters quickly moved to put off the fire and extricate the victim. Then, an ambulance transported the patient to a nearby hospital.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Also, they haven’t determined whether the person who lost control of his vehicle was under the influence or not.
 
After the crash, the CHP shut down Highway 18 in both directions for almost 2 hours. As a result, major traffic backups that stretched for miles occurred.
