WICHITA FALLS, TX (September 5, 2023) – On Friday, a tragic vehicle crash on State Highway 16 killed one person.

The incident happened on State Highway 16.

According to the Texas Police Department, a Ford Mustang veered across the center strip and collided head-on with a Freightliner towing a trailer.

Moreover, responders pronounced a passenger of the Mustang, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the Mustang driver to Texas Health Harris Methodist with unknown injuries. Also, the Freightliner driver sustained no injuries in the crash.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
