GILA BEND, AZ (March 18, 2024) – Sunday morning, a tragic plane crash on Gila Bend Municipal Airport killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 9:45 a.m. at Gila Bend Municipal Airport.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the incident involved an experimental, amateur-built aircraft.

Moreover, responders pronounced an occupant of the plane, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics airlifted one person to a hospital with serious injuries.
