Tragic Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 635 Kills Woman [Dallas, TX]

Dallas, TX (April 19, 2024) On Thursday morning, a female was pronounced dead after a horrific pedestrian crash on Interstate 635.

According to Dallas police, the tragic event happened at about 1 a.m. on the 9500 block of LBJ Freeway (I-635).

Reports say that a female driver was eastbound on I-635 when she drove through 2 construction barriers and crashed into a plastic barrier. Afterward, the vehicle veered back onto the highway and ended up in the 2nd to the right lane.

The woman got out of her vehicle and was standing by the door of her vehicle when an eastbound van struck the woman. Officials pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Dallas police say that the van driver stayed at the scene.

Police are investigating the fatal crash and have not released additional information at this time.
