AUSTIN, TX (March 24, 2024) – Saturday morning, a tragic pedestrian crash on Interstate 35 near 51st Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:22 a.m. in the 4900 block of North Interstate 35 near 51st Street.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, the Austin-Travis County EMS pronounced the victim, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 35.
