Traffic Accident on Highway 12 Left 18-Year-Old Pedestrian Hurt [Lewis County, WA]

Lewis County, WA (June 9, 2023) On Thursday, an 18-year-old pedestrian from Chehalis was hurt in a traffic accident on Highway 12.

According to a Washington State Patrol (WSP), the auto-pedestrian collision happened around midnight on U.S. Highway 12 near Jackson Highway.

Reports say that the 18-year-old pedestrian was struck by a semi-truck driven by a 66-year-old Tumwater resident.

Authorities say that the pedestrian was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, no word on the patient’s condition at this time.

Meanwhile, the Tumwater driver avoided injuries and was not showing signs of impairment.

WSP is investigating the auto-pedestrian collision.
