Tom Evje, Daniel Phillips and Trina Dulaney Hospitalized Following DUI Two-Car Accident on Highway 395 Near Highway 292
LOON LAKE, WA (March 22, 2019) – Three people, including an alleged impaired driver, suffered injuries Monday night following a DUI crash on Highway 395 near Highway 292.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2002 Dodge Neon traveling southbound on Highway 395 drifted across the center line and collided with a northbound 1997 Honda CR-V.
Reports identified 35-year-old Tom D. Evje as the 35-year-old driver operating the Dodge. According to Trooper Jeff Sevigney, police believe the Kettle Falls man lost control of the vehicle due to his intoxicated state at the time.
He, as well as the 57-year-old Honda driver – Daniel J. Phillips – and Phillips’ 44-year-old passenger – Trina C. Dulaney –suffered injuries. A 14-year-old girl inside the CR-V did not require hospitalization.
As of Tuesday morning, medical staff at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center listed Phillips and Evje’s condition as satisfactory.
