Business Damaged Following Multi-Car Accident in Northridge
NORTHRIDGE, CA (July 3, 2019) – A tire shop at Balboa Boulevard and Devonshire Street sustained significant damage when a vehicle, struck by another, crashed inside Monday night.
Authorities have yet to determine the impetus for the multi-vehicle crash that happened at 11:15 p.m. Recorded footage showed a black Toyota that had plowed inside an America’s Tire store moments prior.
Debris from the wall littered the streets and inside the store. Also, a white Hyundai with front-end damage and a four-door silver vehicle—possibly a Toyota of an unknown model—with front-end damage, as well, were stopped at the scene.
According to witnesses, two of the three cars were bearing down at a high rate of speed when they struck a dip in the road. One of the cars went careening into a telephone pole while the other struck another vehicle, sending that car into the tire shop.
No one suffered any serious injuries, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department Personnel. Police added that neither alcohol nor street racing was a factor in the incident; however, an investigation concerning this incident is underway.
Traveling at a high rate of speed increases the likelihood of getting into a car accident. When driving, travel at a safe and controlled speed and put all distractions away. Doing this can keep you safe on the road.
