Timothy Hollis and Glenn Gray Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 108 Near Stockton Road
SONORA, CA (February 18, 2019) – Friday evening’s pedestrian crash on Highway 108 near Stockton Road left a 36-year-old woman dead.
The California Highway Patrol officers believe 21-year-old Timothy Hollis was heading eastbound on the highway in a 2016 Chrysler 200 around 6:26 p.m. Traveling at speeds of roughly 50 mph, Hollis struck the unidentified woman who reportedly stepped off the south shoulder of the road and into oncoming traffic.
It appears the Sonora man tried applying his brakes but was unable to avoid hitting her. The impact sent the woman airborne before she landed in the westbound lane, where she was hit by 28-year-old Glenn Gray in a 2018 Ford F-150.
CHP has yet to confirm whether alcohol or drugs played a role. The identity of the woman was not available.
