Timothy Carey Dies in 2-Car Collision at East Villa Street [Pasadena, CA]

Timothy Carey Perishes in Two-Vehicle Accident at East Villa Street and El Molino Avenue

 
PASADENA, CA (June 14, 2019) – A man later identified as 51-year-old Timothy Carey of Pasadena, was killed early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident on East Villa Street.
 
According to reports, officers responded to the collision around 6:40 a.m.
 
Carey was traveling in a Kia at the time when he collided with a southbound white sedan on El Molino Avenue. However, the circumstances leading up to the incident are still unclear.
 
Carey was thrown from the vehicle after the car door tore off, due to the impact. Paramedics later pronounced him dead at the scene while his passenger sustained minor injuries.
 
In the other vehicle, two occupants remained uninjured and stayed at the scene for police investigations.
 
Authorities have thus far determined that one of the drivers blew through a red light; however, they have yet to determine who.
