78-Year-Old Tim Gary Struck and Injured in 89th Street South Crash

 
Lakewood, WA (April 14, 2021) – On Thursday, 78-year-old Tim Gary of Lakewood was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on 89th Street South.
 
The accident took place at around 7 p.m. on the 3100 block area, in a small neighborhood of Lakewood.
 
Officers said Gary has lived in the neighborhood since the 70s.
 
He was walking to get his mail when a person driving a car struck Gary and then kept going.
 
Surveillance video from his home shows the car drive by, and on the left side of the video, he can be seen falling to the ground.
 
Gary laid on the ground for about 18 minutes while waiting for help.
 
Moreover, Gary was in the hospital for several days. He was cut, bruised, and has several broken bones.
 
He is home now recovering. Gary’s family hopes sharing the story will bring justice.
