2 Drivers Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Sonoma Highway Near Sonoma Botanical Garden
Glen Ellen, CA (July 10, 2021) – A crash on Sonoma Highway involving three vehicles left two people injured on Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on July 8 near the Sonoma Botanical Garden at about 2:20 p.m.
A silver Ford Ranger pickup, a USPS mail truck, and an orange Honda Civic sedan were reportedly involved in the collision. Medics transported two of the drivers to a nearby hospital after complaining of pain due to the crash.
However, reports said that the victims did not have serious injuries.
Furthermore, a witness identified as Denise Cordoni of Sonoma, said that she saw the Honda had serious damage in its front end. Later, a USPS spokesman also confirmed that the mail truck had damage to its front and side.
Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Trinity Road
The collision prompted the diversion of traffic from Sonoma to Arnold Drive. By 4 p.m., vehicles towing services were able to pull the vehicles off the road. Then, the road reopened again for the traffic.
The investigation remains ongoing.
