Olympia Driver and Two Hospitalized in Vehicle Crash on State Route 3
Kitsap County, WA (March 15, 2021) – On Sunday, a 59-year-old Olympia driver and two others were injured in a vehicle crash on State Route 3.
The crash took place at about 11:30 a.m. near Gorst in Kitsap County.
Apparently, the Olympia man was driving south on State Route 3 when a chair fell off a small, gray passenger car and landed on the road.
The Olympia man drifted to avoid the chair. However, his vehicle crossed into the opposite lanes and crashed into an oncoming vehicle.
Rescuers flew the driver of the oncoming vehicle, a 60-year-old Belfair woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Rescuers also took her passenger, a 63-year-old Belfair man to Tacoma General Hospital.
Meanwhile, responders also took the Olympia man also to the same hospital.
Moreover, officers blocked State Route 3 for 3-1/2 hours.
